Lots of Festive Cheer at the BIAB Christmas Party!
We love it when a plan comes together, and it came together well at the BIAB Christmas party in Westminster on the 16th December! In our last Christmas update here we brought you up to date with all the preparations for our Christmas plans, and we’re now long overdue to let you know what happened next!
Outreaching and managing food stations is a gloomy affair on these long winter nights, and keeping the team of volunteers safe is a matter BIAB takes very seriously. With this in mind, a few high visibility tabards would be ideal. Cue Arti Promotions to the rescue with 10 hi-viz tabards! Not only have they donated the tabards, they have even branded them with our name on both front and back, AND delivered them to us in time for our Christmas party!
Bags and bags and bags of food for a feast fit for a King!
The wonderful donations we received for our Christmas event were overwhelming, and Michelle was a busy bee in her kitchen for HOURS in the 48 hours prior to the party, planning, preparing, cooking and packing everything for the evening’s event. There was so much to take and set up we used a van to take it all to the party location!
Joe has been passionate about helping homeless people since he was as young as 4 years old. He and his Mum Lisa came across our initiative and Joe was keen to do something special for our homeless friends this Christmas. He carefully selected items that he knew a homeless person would be delighted to receive, packed them all in a box, and wrapped them in Christmas gift paper ready for the lucky recipient to unwrap. He was delighted to have the opportunity to give his lovely gift in person at our Christmas party – and we were delighted to have him and his Mum attend! Joe tells us more in his guest blog (click here), in which he wants to pass on to you a very important message.
Christmas carols with Vocally Sound Ltd
The absolute perfect accompaniment to our Christmas celebration was the talented choir of singers from Vocally Sound Ltd. The sound of their beautiful voices soaring into the London evening air was inspiring, and definitely helped create the ambience fitting for a celebration with our homeless friends.
Here you can watch a clip of them performing…
