Protein bars for November’s breakfasts are in the bag thanks to Pulsin’

We’ve been talking to the lovely people at Pulsin’ in Gloucester about them getting involved in our initiative for a little while now.  Their protein snack bars looked perfect for our homeless friends and we were impressed that their beond bites contain enough fruit to count as 1 of our 5-a-day!  Naturally we were really keen to try and get them into our breakfast bags.

Imagine the delight in BIAB HQ when we received the email from Pulsin’ confirming their support with an offer of enough of both to ensure they were in every bag we’ll be handing over throughout November!mixed-proteinsnacks

Pulsin’ clearly thought long and hard about the right products for a homeless person’s breakfast bag.  Here’s what they told us about the Maple and Whey Protein Snacks they’ve donated which are the most powerful bars in their range: “These are 35g bars that include a blend of Whey, Pea and Rice protein powders. Protein can help you to feel fuller for longer and so we hope that including this in the breakfast selection will help all of those who receive the bags to get through till their next meal.”

Their beond range is certified organic and Pulsin’ work hard to ensure that all their recipes are free from gluten, dairy, soya, refined sugars and GMO, meaning the bars are vegan friendly, and suitable for those following paleo and gluten free dimixedbeondets.  As Pulsin’ told us, the benefits don’t stop there: “These are fruit and nut based bars. The high fruit content will help to raise energy levels but won’t cause a sugar ‘crash’ that you can sometimes get with refined sugar snacks.”

It’s just fantastic that  Pulsin’ are partnering with us to help London’s homeless.  The difference when we receive such generous support from food manufacturers who make healthy, high quality products is huge.  It means the monetary donations we receive from the public stretch much further so we can fill and hand out even more breakfast bags to our friends on London’s streets.

Pulsin’ make natural protein bars, protein powders and healthy treats that are as good for you as they taste. Packed full of natural ingredients and organic goodness, their products are free from nasties, high in protein and low GI, making them perfect for the whole family. They’re also lovely people to deal with and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Thank you Pulsin’, your support and generosity is really appreciated by BIAB and your snack bars will be welcomed by every one of London’s rough sleepers that receives a breakfast bag this month.
